| Features:
| • | Historical references and modern computer graphics were combined to render 125,000 square kilometers of French countryside that is disfigured by a terribly cratered battlefield. Fluffy clouds fill the sky which you can fly into for cover. | | • | Rain and fog are also modeled in realistic detail making flying even more of a challenge as water drops cover your windscreen or goggles. Advanced graphics featuring moving shadows, depth of field, light bloom and reflections. | | • | Fly several Single-Player combat missions against a computer opponent. If you feel you have mastered the art of aerial combat you can embark on a Pilot Career and fly a historically accurate Campaign for the French, British, German or American air forces. | | • | Also included is a very powerful Mission Editor that allows players to design custom missions. The Mission Editor is included on the disk and is accompanied by 150 page instruction guide! There will never be a shortage of missions to fly. | | • | So hurry! Grab your goggles and silk scarf. Enemy airplanes are approaching. Who will emerge as the next Baron von Richtoven or Eddie Rickenbacker? Is it you? |

Big Mistake in Purchasing... March 8, 2010 Hendrick Goller (Aliquippa, PA United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is one of the worst exceuted flight simulations ever. First of all, the game is way too complex to run efficiently on anything but the most robust gaming PC's. Second of all, the flight model is so choppy you cannot hit the side of a barn without flying into it.
Finally, some one should check the intellectual property rights, beause it this game seems to be a complete copy of Red Baron from the late 80's.
Save your money and buy something else.
ROF is POS!!!! March 2, 2010 Michael Haberthur (FALLON, NV, US) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
What a lousy game. For the price you might expect it to at least work. Only thing worse than the initial game is the fact that the support isn't available to fix it.
Best Flight Sim Ever February 24, 2010 R. M. Spraitz (Clearwater, FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been a flight sim fan for a long time now and have tried a lot of them. But if you have the equipment to run this game at it's highest settings, it is definately the best flight sim ever. The detail in each aircraft is outstanding, not to mention the scenery below. The damage model is great too and believe me, you'll be sweating for real when you have a "crate" on your tail and your fabric wings are being shredded. And there you are without a parachute!!! Are there some things that can be improved? Of course, but once you're up and running this game is awsome. Watch your six guys!
ROF needs to get fixed, but its a good game. February 8, 2010 Koz (SE Washington State) There are bugs that should be fixed, such as blue grid on snow. The techs are very responsive to your problems. The game is difficult for me, which is the way I like it. Great graphics, realism, but the system requirements are very high. There are times I don't really know if its my system or a bug that is causing a problem.
ROF you got to like online combat for sure February 6, 2010 HORSECORN (west coast FLORIDA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am just on my way to the game-site to fly a mission.
It is all on-line .... some may not like that.
Real - real the plane is my AVATAR.
Yes I recommend it ... after you learn how to fly.
Microsoft Flight Simulator with RON MACADO ... great way to learn.
